KILLED: Jamilia DeRevenaux

A 30-year-old Morvant man yesterday appeared before a Port of Spain magistrate charged with the murder of Jamilia De Revenaux at MovieTowne, Port of Spain on February 5.

Murder accused, Matthew King, of Chinapoo, Morvant, stood before Chief Magistrate Marcia Ayers-Caesar charged with murdering 27-year-old DeRevenaux in the car park near the Mandieros Restaurant at MovieTowne. Her throat was slit. Along with King, two other men, Christopher O'Connor and Jamal Lewis, also appeared before the magistrate charged with perverting the course of public justice in relation to an allegation that they had sought to assist the suspect to flee the country.

O'Connor is from La Fillette Village, Blanchisseuse while Lewis is from Arima Old Road.

In court yesterday the trio were not called upon to plead as the charges against them had been laid indictably.
