Britto moves to Honduras

THIRD OVERSEAS JAUNT: Jerrel Britto, centre, in Pro League action for Ma Pau Stars against the Defence Force.

MA PAU STARS striker Jerrel Britto has moved to Honduras Progreso, winners of the 2015–16 Honduran national league.

Britto was signed as a replacement after Progreso lost their best forward, Angel Tejedato to another Honduran club, Real Spain of San Pedro Sula.

The 24-year-old Britto has had short overseas stints in Mexico (Murciélagos), Guatemala (Malacateco) and now Honduras, in-between stints at home with W Connection, San Juan Jabloteh and Ma Pau Stars. His first goal in Honduras came last Saturday when he netted the opening item in a 1-1 draw with Social Sol.

Britto also had a productive season with Ma Pau Stars, scoring eight goals over the 18-match shortened season.
