“Full Extreme” by Ultimate Rejects featuring MX Prime (Edghill Thomas) created history by recording the most plays in the Road March competition ever.
The song, which resonated with a population “jammin’ still” despite the economic challenges, was played a whopping 556 times at all competition points throughout Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
The record-breaking result was yesterday confirmed by Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation (TUCO) public relations officer Steve “Ras Kommanda” Pascall.
He noted that the second-highest count for a song in the Road March competition was “Fantastic Friday” recorded by SuperBlue in 2013.
