THE country’s largest telecommunications provider, Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (TSTT), has signed a deal with the country’s newest, Massy Communications, that would have the two share infrastructure and save foreign exchange.
This was confirmed by TSTT chairman Emile Elias in a February 21 telephone interview.
Seven days earlier, TSTT Senior Manager for Infrastructure Design & Maintenance, Kirtson George, told TSTT staff in an e-mail: “The Massy sharing agreement was signed today. Both TSTT and Massy now have open access to each other’s network. The access will be guided by processes and we will be required to support.” He told staff the support would include “inspection/supervision of Massy installations.”
It is not the first time the two companies have teamed up.
