The long wait by fans to see live cricket at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy appears to be finally over, following yesterday’s announcement of the hosting of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s (TTCB) Twenty20 Festival at its Tarouba venue.
TTCB’s executive member Baldath Mahabir, who made the announcement during a press conference hosted by the TTCB, the Urban Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) and the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva, said the six-day tournament from Saturday to next week Friday, represents the championship stage of the domestic T20 competition.
