Women’s franchise T20 tournament bowls off today*

An epic battle is expected when the Courts Grand Slam Women’s Cricket T20 tournament today as the Tecu Southern Titans lock horns with Central Gladiators at Wilson Road in Penal and Kieron Pollard’s KJ Sports Eastern Diamonds oppose Sacha Cosmetics Northern Starblazers at UWI, St Augustine. Both games start at 7 p.m.
Coached by former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies player Jasmine Sammy, the Starblazers will be led by Lee Ann Kirby while their opponents will be captained by Stacy Ann King and coached by another former regional star in Stephanie Power.
Successful T&T women’s team coach Gerald Garcia will take charge of the Central Gladiators, who will be led by Anisa Mohammed, while national men’s team assistant coach Kelvin Williams will head up the Southern Titans, which will be captained by Merissa Aguilleira.
