A man came home from the bank this morning to find his wife dead in bed. Someone killed her.

Her hands and feet were bound and throat slit.

The deceased woman has been identified as 51-year-old Savitri Mohammed, of Bonne Adventure Road, Gasparillo.

Her husband Sadik Mohammed told the police that he left the house at around 10a.m. and returned about one hour later to make the discovery.

Mohammed's body was found in the couple's bed. Her hands and feet were bound with duct tape. There was a gaping wound to the neck, police said.

Mohammed's sister Evelyn Sookram sais she last spoke with her sister on Sunday - Mother's Day - when they spent the day at their mother's home in  Ste Madeleine.

Mohammed had no children, and she recently left her job at a cosmetics store in San Fernando, the Express was told.

Police officers are at the house search for clues at this time.
