SOMEONE tied Savitri Mohammed’s hands and feet with duct tape and killed her in the matrimonial bed of the house she shared with her husband.
Mohammed, 55, died from a gaping wound across her neck.
No murder weapon was found at the scene, but police suspect the wound was inflicted with a cutlass.
The killing happened at Bonne Aventure Road, Gasparillo.
Her husband, Sadik Mohammed, told police he came home after a trip to the bank yesterday and found her bleeding and unresponsive.
Mohammed, 40, told police he left his wife at home around 9.45 a.m. and went to Republic Bank in San Fernando.
When he returned around 11.45 a.m., the back door of the house was open, he said.
