Carlista goes for her fifth *

Cadogan is clear men’s singles favourite

CARLISTA MOHAMMED will attempt to capture the women's singles crown for the fifth time when the curtain falls on the B-Mobile National Tennis Championships today at National Racquet Centre, Orange Grove Road, Tacarigua.

The 26-year-old defending champion will oppose 2015 winner Breana Stampfli at 5 p.m., after which Richard Chung will tackle Joseph Cadogan for the men's title right after.

Mohammed was edged in a nail-biting three-setter by Lee-Anne Lingo in an attempt to complete a beaver-trick of titles in this tournament in 2011 and she demolished the field in her first time back last year.
