Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) CEO Damien O’Donohoe has expressed his delight that the finals of the biggest party in sport will be returning to Trinidad and Tobago this year.
“There is nowhere that can host the CPL finals quite like Trinidad and Tobago,” he said in a CPL press release. “We are absolutely delighted to be bringing the Hero CPL finals to Trinidad and Tobago. We would like to express out thanks to the Trinidad and Tobago government, especially the Prime Minister Keith Rowley and the Minister for Sport Darryl Smith,” the CPL CEO added.
The Brian Lara Cricket Academy (BLCA) in Tarouba will host the three play-off matches and the final of the fifth edition of the CPL. It is also the third time T&T will host the tournament final. On the previous two occasions that the play-offs and the final was held in Trinidad, the matches were played at Queen’s Park Oval.
