THE Siparia Regional Corporation intends on taking a zero tolerance approach in dealing with developers who block natural watercourses in the region.
This comes after residents of Silver Stream, of Delhi Road, were left marooned to their homes after the passing of Tropical Storm Bret over two weeks ago.
The majority of the flooding was the result of blocked waterways.
According to the Siparia Regional Corporation chairman Dr Glenn Ramadharsingh, the flooding occurred as a result of the incomplete works on the Mon Desir segment of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway extension to Point Fortin.
