Innovations in design, logistics, materials, production techniques and technology continue to drive the mas/Carnival industry forward and every year, our creative professionals work to reinvent the genre (or at least rejuvenate it with fashionable and attractive costume designs).
Simultaneously, the Carnival bands all attempt to create unique and enjoyable experiences annually to appease the demands of the stressed-out, mas-loving population, as they take to the streets for two days of revelry in the sun.
Fantasy Carnival will celebrate “Seven years of Mas” in 2018 and is preparing to launch its latest Carnival presentation entitled Immortals - Isle of Olympia on Saturday July 22 at the Queen’s Park Oval in St Clair, Port of Spain. Leading the band’s list of innovations and new experiences this time around is the section option for masqueraders to design and produce their own costumes as part of this 2018 presentation.
“It’s no secret that there has been an explosion of young designers in recent years,” explained bandleader, Shawn Wong.
