Rowley says sorry to nation for ferry fiasco...again *

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley

PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley has for a second time apologised for ongoing problems with the Trinidad and Tobago seabridge.

At a news conference on May 26, Rowley apologised to the nation, and particularly to Tobago, for what was then the height of a breakdown in cargo and passenger services between the islands.

He also at that time laid out a plan for bringing the seabridge up to par, including Government's intention to acquire medium vessels while it searched for a means to build and own its own supercarrier.

Rowley yesterday expressed regret for the latest ferry fiasco, this time, the forced cancellation of the Ocean Flower II passenger carrier that was due to join the seabridge fleet since August 1.
