Alexander, Campbell shine *

Adam Alexander showed the strength in his legs when he became the national champion over 60 laps on the first night of the National Elite and Under-23 Track Cycling Championships.

At the National Cycling Centre on Thursday evening, Alexander of Team Foundation held off the promising Tyler Cole, and PSL Cycle Club teammates Jovian Gomez and Akiel Campbell. However, Gomez and Campbell took silver and bronze respectively since Cole is still classified as a Junior.

Alexander was always a contender in this 15km scratch race.
