NINE teams comprising blind and visually impaired persons took part in a cooking competition yesterday at the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain.
Now in its second year, the competition is an initiative of the Advocates of the Blind and Vision Impaired (ABVI).
Aptly titled “Blind People Can Cook II”, the competition showcased the cooking skills of each participating team in the preparation of a three-course meal.
Their meals were judged on criteria including taste, presentation and creativity.
Members of the public were on hand to sample the dishes.
