COLIN MUNRO and Shadab Khan were at the heart of another Trinbago Knight Riders victory on Friday night in the Hero Caribbean Premier League. And the work of the overseas pros thus far, including the seven-wicket victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors, was especially pleasing to TKR captain Dwayne Bravo.
“When you have your overseas players performing, it makes it easier for us as a team,” Bravo said after his side’s third win in four matches.
“We have a lot of match-winners, so we just need one or two per game and more often than not, we gonna come out victorious,” he added. “I’m happy the way the guys are going, it’s just to continue to press on and no ease up of the pressure.”
New Zealander Munro certainly did not ease the woes for his countryman and Amazon Warriors skipper Martin Guptill with his second half-century of the T20 campaign, a Man-of-the-Match unbeaten 70 (47 balls) as TKR comfortably chased down the Warriors’ total of 156 for seven.
