Questions over local shipping agent for Canadian Bridgemans*


SECRECY surrounds the local ­shipping agent for Canada-based company Bridgemans Services Group LP, which was given the multi-million-dollar seabridge contract for the Ocean Flower II and Cabo Star.
Not even chairman of the Port Authority Alison Lewis, in an interview with veteran journalist Tony Fraser on Power 102FM a week ago, could recall with certainty the local agent for the Canada-based company here.
With the help of several marine insiders over the last few weeks, we were able to confirm the company’s local agent here for the Cabo Star is a man known as Lester Kenny.
He was photographed by another media house last Friday trailing Bridgemans Services Group LP representative Andrew Purdey ­after they emerged from a meeting with the Port Authority to discuss the possible reinstatement of the Ocean Flower II contract which was cancelled two days earlier because of delays in its arrival to Trinidad.
