Trinidad and Tobago head coach Dennis Lawrence will have the services of at least three overseas-based professionals for the upcoming international friendly against Jamaica at the Hasely Crawford Stadium next Thursday from 8p.m.
Cordell Cato, Mekeil Wiliams and Aubrey David have been confirmed for the friendly. Lawrence is using mostly local players and possibly giving a few of them a first taste of international football.
Jamaica will also use a mainly locally-based team. “It is going to be good for the local players,” Lawrence said ahead of a training session on Thursday at the stadium.
“We have managed to acquire the services of a couple of the foreign players and the main reason for that is the fact that they have not been playing for their clubs, so it is important that we try and give them some match time before the Honduras game.
