Benz crash autopsy: Ryun died from multiple injuries

MARACAS teenager Ryun Crawford who was killed in a car crash on Sunday died from multiple injuries.

Crawford, 18, of Lennox Phillip Drive, Maracas Gardens, suffered multiple blunt force trauma, an autopsy found.

The autopsy was performed at the Forensic Sciences Centre, St James, by Dr. Valery Alexandrov.

Crawford's mother, Renne Greenidge, witnessed the autopsy, police said.

Crawford, died at the scene of the crash at Ghandi Village, Debe.

A passenger in his vehicle, 16-year-old Nikhil Gopaul, a student of Westmoorings, is warded at the hospital.

Police said Crawford was driving a Mercedes Benz with Gopaul in the front passenger seat.

A police report stated that at around 9.45 p.m. Crawford was proceeding south of the Solomon Hochoy Highway when upon reaching Gandhi Village, Debe, he attempted to switch lanes.

The report said that he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a light-pole.

Insp Williams and other officers of the San Fernando Police Station responded.
