13 bullets for victim after anti-crime walk*

NOT even two hours after a candlelight anti-crime walk, hosted by non-profit organisation T&T Foundation, had come to an end in the Aranjuez area on Saturday night, murderers struck, shooting one man more than 13 times.
Another man who was also shot in the incident, but who remained unidentified up to press time last night, was listed in critical condition at hospital, said police.
The incident took place shortly before midnight along Boundary Road, Aranjuez. The victim, who was said to be a resident of the area, has since been identified as Jemel Nicholson.
His killing has taken the murder toll for the year so far to 361, as compared to 336 for the corresponding period last year.
Investigators said around 11.30 p.m., residents reported hearing a volley of loud explosions before finding the men lying along the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
