A gross abuse of media freedom*


One of the things I believe we should all cherish in this country is the virtually untrammelled freedom of our media—print and electronic. This freedom, however, is not absolute, as it can be successfully challenged through another freedom which we must also all cherish and preserve—and that is our right to seek redress in our courts of law if we believe we have been libelled or slandered.
