GOVERNMENT MPs were yesterday heavily booed as they entered the Parliament building on the Port of Spain Waterfront, outside of which hundreds had gathered to protest measures in the 2017/2018 national budget that they viewed as “draconian” and “evil”.
The hecklers included workers from the gaming industry, United National Congress (UNC) supporters, a handful of fisherfolk and citizens who said they were not politically aligned but were disturbed by Government’s handling of the economy and Trinidad and Tobago’s crime problem.
