Gally/Morris: Wouldn’t wish 1989 on my worst enemy*

Both Strike Squad head coach Everald “Gally” Cummings and captain Clayton Morris have said while they were happy with T&T’s 2-1 win over USA on Tuesday night, the fact that the Americans were denied a World Cup spot in 2018 Russia doesn’t ease the pain of their failed 1990 Italy campaign. Both hailed Dennis Lawrence’s squad’s performance and the blistering strike from Alvin Jones, son of Strike Squad member Kelvin Jones, whose goal sealed the triumph.
