Death penalty vs rising murders*


LIKE some other regions, our Caribbean Community countries seem destined to face, for many years to come, the twin challenges of the death penalty for murder as well as appallingly dehumanising conditions in terribly overcrowded prisons.  The death penalty continues to provoke fierce verbal conflicts between ITSopponents and advocates in the Caribbean and other Commonwealth of Nations countries, particularly amid rising murder rates.
