Parts of Trinidad and Tobago are getting a drenching this Divali morning.
And there is concern that, like in 2015, the rain prevented many from light their deyas around their homes and communities.
As a result, many performed the annual ritual the following day.
The Meteorological Office's forecast issued at daybreak today is for cloudy periods with showers or rain in varying areas.
There is a high chance that some of these showers would become heavy and thundery.
"Some abatement can be expected during the late afternoon to evening. In the event of a heavy shower or thundershower winds could become gusty and street or flash flooding is likely in areas so prone”.
