UNC to fight EBC promotion*

THE United National Congress (UNC) will seek to legally challenge the appointment of Fern Narcis-Scope as Chief Elections Officer at the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC). 
Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar made the announcement during the party’s Monday Night Forum at the St Helena Hindu Primary School.
The promotion of the EBC’s senior legal officer to CEO has been of interest to the UNC since her appointment to the position in September.  The UNC initially charged that Narcis-Scope was related to a member of Government and that she was handpicked for the position.
