FRAUDSTERS have targeted customers of one of the country's leading commercial banks.
Customers of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago have reported several instances of money being stolen from their savings accounts through automated teller machines (ATMs).
Customers told the Express they have lost tens of thousands of dollars.
The bank confirmed yesterday that it was taking action against a scam whereby customers had received fraudulent text messages and was continuing to investigate the incidence of fraud.
On Wednesday, Tabaquite resident Sharen Badal-Ayhew and her husband told the Express that last week they discovered they were missing $63,000 after making an online balance enquiry on their account.
