Petrotrin holds back $70M from A&V *

A&V Drilling and Workover says State oil company Petrotrin has withheld payment of $70 million for crude oil A&V supplied to it.

Attorney for A&V Drilling, Senior Counsel Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, yesterday responded to Petrotrin's statement on Friday which said the external audit into oil production discrepancies confirmed a shortage in the reported oil received from A&V Drilling.

The statement on behalf of A&V said yesterday if there were any discrepancies, it was Petrotrin's recording systems and procedures to blame.
