Hundreds apply for subsidised land*

HUNDREDS of people have submitted applica­tions for subsidised land under the Ministry of Hou­sing’s Aided Self-Help Housing Programme. The ministry began accepting applications on Monday, and on the first day, over 300 people turned up to apply, it said in a statement yesterday. The programme, launched earlier this month, seeks to provide residential lots to applicants at 30 per cent the market value.
