No-show teachers at Corpus Christi *

No subvention from Ministry...


ROMAN Catholic high school, Corpus Christi College, was forced to send home all pupils yesterday after close to 90 per cent of its teachers did not show up for work.

According to the school's acting vice-principal, Anthony McCollin, the school has not been paid its per-term subventions by the Ministry of Education, and as such has been unable to pay teachers' salaries.

Corpus Christi College is a private institution which falls under the purview of the Corpus Christi Carmelite Sisters.
