Trini wins Rhodes Scholarship *

FOR the fourth straight year, a Trinidadian has won the Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholarship.

Mandela Patrick, 22, will pursue a two-year Masters programme in computer science and statistics at Oxford University, England, from October 2018.

Patrick, who received the honour during a ceremony at Government House in Barbados on Tuesday, said he felt great to be awarded as he had learnt a lot about himself and the impact he wanted to have on the Caribbean during the process.

Speaking of the hardest moments of the journey, he said it was balancing academics with sports.
