‘Finance, accounting key to T&T’s future’*

Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago International Financial Centre (T&T IFC), Richard P. Young, has told a graduating class of finance and accounting professionals that business process outsourcing using the skills they have learnt is an important aspect of T&T’s future.
Addressing the graduation ceremony for the class of 50 students who received the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ (ACCA’s) Global Business Services (GBS) and UWI Roytec’s soft skills certifications, Young said: “The message here today is that you the graduands are in fact really the future of Trinidad and Tobago. I say future because if you listen to what is happening financially we are pressed from an economy point of view where the country’s energy revenue has dropped by some 80-90 per cent.”
