Kamla sweeps UNC elections *

20,328 votes: Kamla-Persad-Bissessar

OPPOSITION Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar swept Sunday's United National Congress (UNC) internal elections with a landslide 20,328 votes to retain leadership of the party.

In an address at the UNC's Couva headquarters Sunday night, Persad-Bissessar, standing with with her victorious Star Team, said she was ready to work.
