Aleena makes giant strides*

ALEENA EDWARDS has made giant strides in the national female table tennis rankings after winning the Tobago Open Tournament earlier this month.
After losing the first three games in the final, the 11-time national champion staged a sensational comeback to defeat Linda Partap-Boodhan in the final. And since Edwards did not have any points to defend as a result of not playing the tournament last year, she moved up 750 points and is now in fourth place with a total of 2,425. Catherine Spicer had also missed the tournament last year and would have taken over the top spot by winning the title, but the winner of the Classified Championships and Silver Bowl Championships was out with the virus and remains in third place with 2,500 points.
