Dookram likely to remain No.1 *

Tough for Partap-Boodhan to make it three straight

WELL-PLACED TO RETAIN TOP SPOT: Yuvraaj Dookram in action

YUVRAAJ DOOKRAM is in a very strong position to finish at the top of the local table tennis rankings for the second straight year, but Linda Partap-Boodhan only has a slim chance of finishing No.1 for the third straight time when the season concludes Wednesday night with the Super Singles finals at National Racquet Centre, Orange Grove Main Road, Tacarigua.

Partap-Boodhan is currently in second place in the rankings with 2,900 points and will only move to the top is she retains her Super Singles crown and last year's runner-up Brittany Joseph fails to finish either second or third.

Joseph, who has 3,000 points, has been on top since she won the National Championships at the end of July, and only needs to finish in the top three to end the year there.
