A couple of years ago, I wrote an article about a man who told a woman that he was more accustomed to the bodies of younger women. She was 55. She received a flood of support from women who weren’t pleased with what the man stated. My opinion was that she should appreciate he was factual and he didn’t string her along. It took a lot of courage to say what he said because many saw him as being insensitive, and that’s putting it mildly.
The truth is, the truth can sometimes hurt, and not everyone can handle the truth. I’m not saying that if you ‘think’ someone’s going to be hurt by the truth you shouldn’t say it.
