TOP BOWLER: Khary Pierre.

ROOKIE left-arm spinner Khary Pierre grabbed his maiden first-class five-wicket haul and veteran leg-spinner Imran Khan took four scalps, as Trinidad and Tobago Red Force completed victory by an innings and 16 runs over the Leeward Islands Hurricanes in three days at Warner Park in St Kitts, yesterday. Pierre and Khan, who played crucial roles with the bat a day earlier when they shared a 79-run, eighth-wicket stand to lead the Red Force to a 153-run first innings lead, were at the forefront of their team’s bowling effort as the Hurricanes, who made 207 in their first innings, were dismissed for 137 before the tea interval.  Pierre, who finished with five wicket for 44 runs from 26.4 overs, said “being patient and consistent was key to success” on the Warner Park pitch.
