Stingray danger alert for Manzanilla bathers

The Lifeguard Services Division of the Ministry of National Security has issued an advisory to sea bathers and visitors to Manzanilla Beach, that there has been an increase in the presence of stingrays along the shallow coastline of the beach.

"While there have been no reports of anyone being stung at Manzanilla to date, it is a well-known fact that throughout the world stingrays have been known to inflict excruciating injuries on swimmers and beach goers annually" the Division stated in a press release.

"The Lifeguards Services Division wishes to urge the public to be vigilant and caution as they use the beach".
