ATTORNEY General Faris Al-Rawi said he was “shell-shocked” by the “big fat no” of the UNC Opposition to the Anti-Gang bill, after it voted in favour clause by clause in committee stage.
“I saw the look on the faces opposite me last night. I saw shock, I saw fear, I saw disgust. I saw a member of the UNC bench have some very heated words with his leader and storm out the Parliament,” he said.
“Bit by bit, clause by clause, hour by hour, minute by minute, word by word, we went through the bill, we had fulsome discussion and when the vote was taken clause by clause there was not a voice opposite saying no.
