JOHN O'BRIEN completely dominated the 36th round of the Arima Race Club's 2017 Season last week Saturday at Santa Rosa Park, Arima. The multiple champion trainer was only represented in five of the eight events and yet he saddled four straight winners.

O'Brien completed his beaver-trick with victory in one of the most prestigious events on the calendar, the Stewards Cup.

Last year's Horse of the Year Thisonesforron, owned by Great Friends Stables and partnered by Kerron Khelawan, held on by a short head to deny the fast-finishing Bigman In Town, Horse of Year in the three previous years, in the 1.200-metre contest for top-class horses.
