WPC under probe over photo *

‘Gun in baby’s face’

DANGEROUS GAME: The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has confirmed that this viral photo of a woman, holding a child while brandishing what appears to be a gun, is a member of the Police Service and is under probe. See Page 3.

A policewoman, who has been attached to the Police Service (TTPS) for less than a year, is currently under investigation following the circulation of photos on social media in which she was seen holding a child together with what appeared to be a firearm.

In the images, the woman was wearing curlers in her hair and was smiling as she held an infant in her right hand, and what appeared to be a firearm in her left. The object was also dangerously close to the toddler’s mouth, as the woman smiled for the pictures.

These images brought shouts of outrage from citizens.
The Express was told that the pictures in question were taken over ten years ago. The woman is said to have only recently entered the service and was in her late 20s. The pictures, Express was told, were taken when she was around 16 years old.
