Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley says there was no Government interference in the operations of Education Facilities Company Ltd (EFCL). Rather, he said, there was Government “intervention”.
Rowley was responding to statements made by former EFCL chairman Arnold Piggott, who told a Joint Select Committee on Monday there was corruption, mismanagement and political influence within the company. He said this is what led to his resignation last year.
Speaking with reporters following a school event at the Ministry of Education, Port of Spain, yesterday, Rowley said Piggott would know what he is talking about.
