Do more for road safety*


At last the Ministry of Works has seen the error of its silly ways and has moved to adjust the “donkey-cart” speed limit upwards to something that is more realistic and reflective of the majority of responsible drivers in Trinidad and Tobago.
Enforcing an 80km/h and 65km/h limit did not trap the truly errant taxi or bully truck drivers, drag racers and really reckless drivers, inclusive of those who drive drunk, since they continued to cause accidents blissfully. Nothing in the speed limit rule did anything to remove vehicles which are not roadworthy.
