W Connection, Central in top flight*

..as CONCACAF restructures Caribbean Club Championships

PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE status has seen Trinidad and Tobago football clubs Central FC and W Connection drawn in the top tier, as part of a restructured 2018 Caribbean Club Championship announced yesterday by the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).
CONCACAF announced an expanded Caribbean Club Championship, a two-tier regional club championship representing the newest addition to the Confederation’s club competitions platform.
Central FC, the 2016–17 TT Pro League champions, travel to the Dominican Republic for qualification, while the 2016–17 TT Pro League runners-up W Connection host another four-team group from January 31.
