Massive problem for the PNM*

I have listened to what Camille Robinson-Regis and the PNM’s (People’s National Movement) Women’s League had to say about the song “Rowlee Mudder Count”. Indeed, I have also read opinions expressed in editorials and letters arising from a cross-section of society.
What can be distilled from the range of ideas expressed can be grouped into two opposing views: those who think that the song should be allowed fair airplay and those who think it should not. Those who think it should be left alone in the name of poetic licence and freedom of expression have cited a plethora of past compositions that have been equally “smutty”—or even more so—and have remained untouched.
