More security at Licensing*

TOKEN: Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Nadine Stewart-Phillips presents Captain David Pembridge with a framed painting entitled “Bele Dancer” from local artist Martin Superville on December 14.


Additional measures are being put in place to ensure the Milshirv Building is properly maintained.

Last week, the Licensing department opened its new offices to the public at that location, and by the end of the first day there were damaged desks and other unwanted issues.

Secretary of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment Kwesi Des Vignes said surveillance in every area is not feasible.

He said, however, that he has asked for more robust building management, including regular cleaning and checklists, to help minimise vandalism.
