Should Trinidad and Tobago's football talent be nurtured, through development in the local professional league, or left to its own devices.
Angus Eve, Derek King and Earl Jean, who have all represented their national teams and also now coach in the local professional league, believe that the Trinidad and Tobago Pro League has done a solid job in developing players over the years.
Just look at Trinidad and Tobago's 2006 World Cup team. All but four members of the 24-man squad played football at one time or another in the local professional football league. The exceptions being a trio of English-born players; goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, midfielder Chris Birchall, defender Ian Cox.
