At least two families will be visiting the Forensic Science Centre in St James hoping to find out if the skeletal remains found near San Fernando on Friday belong to their missing relatives.
The bones were discovered by a clean-up crew on a parcel of land at Allamby Street, Ste Madeleine, not far from the C-3 Centre, Corinth. The land belongs to the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Police said the human remains were bagged and taken to the Forensic Science Centre where it will remain until identified.
Police said 129 bones were collected, including a human skull.
