No ‘band-wagoning’ on popular theories*


Considering the AP story in yesterday's online edition, entitled “US cold snap was a freak of nature, quick analysis finds”, I offer the following.

Throughout human history when people encountered “mysteries” they could not explain, they attributed them to gods. They even created gods for particular, peculiar and “unexplainable” things, and felt smug and good. But a few others tried to explain realistically what was behind the mystery.

The same occurs now, as many “intelligent” people repeat the mistakes of ancient times by creating, proffering and living their lives to prove the existence of “concrete evidence” of their theories.
