Attorney claims Dillian granted asylum in UK*

The attorney representing convicted fraudster Dillian Johnson, who has been at the centre of allegations of misconduct involving Chief Justice Ivor Archie, says he has been granted asylum in the United Kingdom.

But mystery surrounds this as the attorney was unable to provide documentary evidence or answer pertinent questions placed to her by media personnel during a news conference at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain yesterday.

Information on the UK Immigration website indicates asylum-seekers may have to wait up to six months for a decision on their applications.

Johnson made the application less than two weeks ago.
